Alpine skiing involves a certain amount of risk. At Nesfjellet, we take safety seriously and have introduced a number of measures to ensure a safe and positive experience for all guests - whether you are a beginner, child, experienced skier or visiting us as a spectator. For your own safety, it is important to respect the signs and follow the instructions that are set up around the ski resort. It is also recommended and familiar with the most important driving rules to ensure safe travel for you and yours.
Common regulations for all Norwegian ski resorts are described in the Alpine Code of Conduct.

The 10 rules of alpine skiing
- 1. Responsibility to avoid harm
-
You must behave and act in such a way that you are not a danger to yourself or others. You must at all times have the necessary control over the equipment you use, and avoid poor use leading to injuries to people or other material.
- 2. Adjust your speed according to skill and conditions
-
Drive in a controlled manner and adjust your speed and driving style according to your speed. Also be aware of the terrain, weather, traffic and driving conditions
- 3. Give way
-
If you come from behind, you are responsible for driving in such a way that you do not expose others to collision.
- 4. Overtaking and overtaking
-
Make sure that other guests in the facility have sufficient space around them when passing. It is not allowed to drive straight downhill, unless it happens during organized training.
- 5. Starting, entering or turning uphill on the descent
-
If you drive into, or turn uphill on a slope, you must ensure that this happens without danger to yourself or others. The same applies to driving after a stop. Take the time to be aware of your immediate surroundings at all times.
- 6. Stop on the slopes
-
Unless absolutely necessary, avoid stopping on the slopes in narrow places, or places with limited visibility. After a fall in such a place, you should move away from someone else's lane as soon as possible.
- 7. On foot on the slopes
-
If you are on foot in the ski resort, you must only use the outer edges of the slope.
*We recommend avoiding all traffic on the slopes on foot.
- 8. Respect signs and markings
-
Follow signs, markings, markings and instructions throughout the ski resort.
- 9. Assistance in case of accidents
-
If you come across an injury to a person in the facility, you as a skier or snowboarder have a duty to help.
- 10. Identification
-
In the event of injuries and accidents, witnesses and contributors have a duty to provide personal information.
Informasjon til din sikkerhet
Use of ski lifts and ski lifts
For safe travel in the lift system, we have some simple rules: Children under 140 cm must be accompanied by an adult in the chairlift.
Everyone must ski on their own skis in a t-hook and button lift – carrying children is not allowed, and a child carrier is prohibited. Always follow the staff's instructions and signs when boarding and disembarking.
Driving off groomed trails
Skiing outside of marked trails is at your own risk and carries increased risk. Outside the trail map, there is no safety net or cushioning. We recommend never skiing alone, and always consider the conditions carefully before choosing off-piste.
Helmet and protection
We strongly recommend the use of a helmet for everyone, and it is mandatory for children under 6 years old. The use of a back brace is also smart, especially in the terrain park or when jumping. With us, safety is in focus – both for yourself and for those around you.
Outside opening hours
When the lifts close, the ski resort becomes a construction site. Snow production, grooming and machine work often take place around the clock. Traffic on the slopes after closing time is prohibited and can be life-threatening. Equipment and maintenance Good equipment makes for a safer experience. Make sure your skis are groomed and steel edges sharpened. In ski rental, we are happy to help you with this. A trip to the ski school can also give you valuable tips - regardless of level.

Sikkerhet i terrengparken
