Welcome to Friheim – a warm and inviting mountain apartment, completed in the spring of 2014. It combines modern comfort with the warm charm of cabin life. With its welcoming atmosphere and thoughtful details, this is a place where you can relax and feel at home from the moment you arrive. Whether you're looking for a peaceful weekend or an eventful family holiday, Friheim is the perfect place to find peace and experience some magic in the mountains.
 
The open plan with kitchen and living room creates a wonderful common area for cooking and socializing, with direct access to the terrace. Imagine starting the morning with a steaming hot cup of coffee, breathing in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the beautiful view. This is the ideal setting for lazy mornings, long breakfasts and the opportunity to take in the beauty of mountain nature – regardless of the season.
 
The apartment is spread over two floors and has high ceilings and a floor plan that provides plenty of space for relaxation, while feeling warm and homely. Downstairs you will find the kitchen and dining room – a natural gathering point for good meals and long, cozy evenings in front of the fireplace. Upstairs is a warm TV room; a perfect little sanctuary where you can curl up on the sofa, watch a favorite movie or simply relax with your legs up after a day of fresh air and mountain adventures.

From quiet mornings and warm evenings indoors, to exciting days out in nature, this is your own little sanctuary in the mountains. After a day filled with skiing, sledding, hiking or exploring the beautiful mountain landscape, there is no better feeling than coming back to your own sheltered sanctuary. Hang up your jackets, gather around the fireplace, curl up under a soft blanket, and enjoy a relaxing evening characterized by warmth, laughter and time with the family.
 
Friheim is made for fun, togetherness and those small holiday moments that turn into your fondest memories. The kids will love the exciting three-tier bunk bed – it makes bedtime a fun adventure in itself! Spend a cozy afternoon playing board games, gear up for a movie night with the family, or snuggle up and head out to explore all that the mountains have to offer. Whether you're an adventurous family or just looking for a peaceful break from everyday life, Friheim is the perfect place to feel at home and enjoy time together.
 
Step out onto the terrace, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and take in the beautiful scenery around you. Winter offers a magical sight with snow-capped mountains and clear, sunny days – perfect for snowy adventures and playful afternoons outdoors. In summer, you can enjoy long, sunny days, a gentle mountain breeze, and plenty of opportunities for little explorers to explore nature's wonders.
 
At Friheim, life moves a little slower, moments feel a little sweeter, and there's always time to enjoy what matters most. From exciting days in the mountains to quiet evenings where you curl up close, each stay is an opportunity to laugh, reconnect with each other, and create memories that will warm your hearts long after your vacation is over.  
 
Practical information
 
Consumables such as toilet paper, soap, matches, candles, coffee, coffee capsules and the like are not included in the stay and must be brought by the guests. Bed linen and towels are not included, but can be rented via Nesfjellet Booking. A set of bed linen consists of sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases, as well as one large and one small towel per person.
 
On arrival you will find plenty of firewood inside the cabin. If you need more consumables during your stay, you must either bring your own or buy extra through Nesfjellet Booking.
 
Final cleaning is included in your stay, so you can end your holiday and return home without having to clean the cabin yourself. In winter, we recommend using good quality winter tires and bringing snow chains, as the weather and driving conditions in the mountains can change quickly.
 
Inside the cabin you will find a QR code that leads to an information document. We recommend that you read through this both on arrival and before departure.
 
Pets are allowed.
 
Location and activities
 
The cabin has a fantastic location, just a stone's throw from one of Norway's most beautiful high mountain courses for golf.
 
You also live right next to cross-country ski trails, and only a minute's drive from Nesfjellet Alpin – a ski resort that boasts Scandinavia's most impressive chairlift.
 
The surrounding area offers great opportunities for cycling and hiking for the whole family, including purpose-built flow trails. A short drive takes you to Hallingspranget, a spectacular 17 km long cycle path.
 
This makes the cottage an ideal starting point for a family holiday, both summer and winter.
 
It is a 30-minute drive to Langedrag, 45 minutes to Bjørneparken in Flå, and 40 minutes to the Tropicana water park in Gol.
