Hiking trails
Hiking to Kvasshovda
Kvasshovda is an easy peak trail that offers a great view over large parts of Nes Sørmark, and further towards the Hemsedalsfjellene and Hallingskarvet. This peak can easily be combined with the neighboring mountains Trommenatten or Smylifjell.
The paths are clearly marked with guiding signs.
Hiking to Unskanattan
This trip will take you through a beautiful landscape surrounded by forests and moorland. There is also a lake called Ålsvatnet along the way, where you can take a batch if you’re feeling brave enough. The route is 4,7 kilometers and red marked.
HallingSpranget
The HallingSpranget opened in June 2022, and is among Hallingdal’s very best and most accessible tours for both hikers and cyclists. The path is 17 kilometers long, and stretches from the top of Nesfjellet all the way down to Nesbyen Sentrum.
From the top, we recommend walking 3 kilometers down until you reach your first rest area, Berget. Here you can enjoy your packed lunch with a spectacular view!
Return to the top or follow the path further down to Nesbyen Sentrum.
Hiking to Trommenatten
Trommenatten is one of the more famous and most beautiful peaks on Nesfjellet. The top is a favorite hiking destination for many, and is very accessible in easy-going terrain. Most of the paths leading to this peak are marked with red ribbons, stakes, and signs.
